Day 01 Arrive Delhi Arrive Delhi, The Capital of India. You are greeted with a traditional Indian Welcome and escorted transfer to hotel.
Day 02 New & Old Delhi Today visit to New Delhi - Lateens designed an "Imperial City" having palatial-sized buildings set amid broad tree-lined avenues punctuated by Mughal style gardens, complete with fountains and shallow pools. Visit to monuments from Delhi's past - Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar, Drive pass through the Raisina Hill, past the imposing India Gate, President House and Parliament House. Old Delhi - was an ancient walled city. Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in 1650 switched the Mughal capital from Agra to Delhi. Here you will view Red Fort, the most Opulent Fort and Palace of the Mughal Empire. Also visit Raj Ghat, the memorial site of the Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India; Evening return to the Red Fort to watch the “Son et Lumire” show which is Interplay of colorful lights and sound tracing the history of monument till date. Day 03 Delhi – Mandawa 240 kms Today drive to Mandawa - The region lies the triangular area between Delhi, Jaipur and Bikaner and includes Jhunjhuniun, Sikar and Churu districts of Rajasthan upon arrival check in to Hotel. Afternoon visit the Mandawa -Shekhawati The semi-desert region of Shekhawati is popularly known as the 'open-air art gallery' of Rajasthan. Shekhawati is unique as no-where else in the world there is such a hundreds of Haveli’s, temples, cenotaphs, wells and forts. Later visit to Havelies in Mandawa notably the Chokhani Saraf & Ladia Havelies, also visit Temples. See the extraordinary frescoes on the walls of the houses and medieval painting of Shekhawati. Day 04 Mandawa - Bikaner 190 kms After breakfast drive to Bikaner. Bikaner lies on the northern point on the triangle of desert cities. It is royal walled city dating back to 1486 AD. It was established by a Rathore Prince, Bika & came to be called to be Bikaner after him. It was, however, a major trade center as it stood on the ancient caravan route which link central Asia & north India with the Gujarat Sea Ports upon arrival check in hotel. Day 05 Bikaner – Jaisalmer 333 kms Today morning drive to Jaisalmer, the ancient citadel on the Caravan route linking India with Persia, Arabia and The Mediterranean. Day 06 Jaisalmer Morning embark half day tour of Jaisalmer fort. Afterwards visit to the Gadisar Tank & large houses of the merchant called haveilies, some of them dating to the Premediaval Patwon Ki Haveli, Salim Shah Haveli and Nathamal Ki Haveli with their intricately carved screens on the facades and the typical traditional architecture. Day 07 Jaisalmer - Jodhpur 290 kms Early morning drive to Jodhpur. Day 09 Mount Abu- Ranakpur-Udaipur 175 kms After breakfast leave for Udaipur. En route visit to Ranakpur temples of the Jains, built in the 15th century in the lovely valley of Aravallis. It has grand structure & beautiful Sculptures. The 1444 pillars in the temple are different from each other. The magic of light & shade is really awe- inspiring. Day 10 Udaipur Today sight seeing of Udaipur includes The City Palace, drive around Fateh Sagar Lake, Sahelion-ki-Bari (The fountained and flowered garden of Maidens), and Partap Smarak: A memorial to the legendary warrior Rana Pratap, Bhartiya Lok Mandal Museum. Day 11 Udaipur- Kota 270 kms After breakfast drive to Kota-known as the industrial capital of Rajasthan. It has an interesting blend of the Old and the New. The fort, overlooking the mighty Chambal River, is the foremost tourist attraction here. Afternoon visit to Kota houses the museum and has some elaborately painted chambers. Ghazi Gate- famous for its outstanding mirror work, ebony and ivory inlaid doors. Overnight stay.
Day 12 Kota- Ranthambhore 110 kms After breakfast drive to Ranthambhore upon arrival check in Hotel. Upon arrival 3 hours canter drive deep into the Jungle to see the Tiger and Leopard, the main predators found in this reserve. Hyena & Jackal are the Scavengers. Sloth Bear and Wild Bear are the main carnivores. The main herbivores found in this Park are Spotted Deer, Sambhar Deer, Nilgai (Bluebell) antelope, Chinkara (Indian gazelle) and the common langur. Day 13 Ranthambhore- Jaipur 175 kms Morning visit Ranthambhore Fort. Then drive to Jaipur upon arrival check in hotel. Afternoon visit to Maharaja’s city Palace - where you can see an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Art The museum is resplendent with its collection of robes of royal princes, carpets, an armory of old weapons, miniature paintings portraying court scenes, battle scenes and processions, Jantar Mantar (an accurate observatory built in 1726 A.D.), Birla White Marble temple and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - a five storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires.
Day 14 Jaipur - Agra 232 kms After breakfast visit the 17th century fortress of Amber Fort - marvelous example of Rajpur architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflected in the Maota Lake below. Go up the fort ascended on Caparisoned Elephant true to the style of the Maharajas of the past. The interiors of the fort have various royal halls decorated with intricate ivory, mirror and glasswork complemented by exquisite wall paintings. Day 15 Agra – Delhi 200 kms Morning visit to Taj Mahal – A Structure that is beautiful not just a Design & Technique, but also in desire & intent. When his Wife died unexpectedly, Emperor Shah Jahan vowed to honor her with a memorial of unmatched beauty. The result before you today: a massive, delicately carved White Marble Jewel floating on a sea of Red Limestone. The Agra Fort is also on today’s tour & we see the fabulous Courtyards, Fountains, and Gates of this Hilltop citadel. Don’t miss the across – the – River view of the Taj Mahal from a little octagonal tower in the Fort. Also visit the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Later drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi & transfer to International Airport to board the flight for Onward Destination.
