Sharing the same idyllic beach as 'Elsewhere' Beach Houses is 'Otter Creek Tents'. Three exclusive, comfortable tents all in the most idyllic setting. All three tents are on the beach and face the creek, which runs parallel to the sea where tranquility, peace and purity prevail. Each tent sleeps 2 in a double four-poster bed and has a private en suite clean western style toilet and bathroom with running water and hot shower. Each tent also has its own sit-out and a bamboo jetty, over the creek.

On a relatively private spit of land overlooking the ocean, separated from the rest of the world by a salt water creek, stands 'ELSEWHERE. Four simple but charming houses located on a beach where the only other footprints to be seen are those of fishermen and turtles. 'Elsewhere' must be one of the most idyllic locations to be found. Access to 'Elsewhere' is via a private, bamboo footbridge across the creek that separates the beach from the rest of the world. There can be no more beautiful a location.

The Captain’s House
This house was built by Dr. Francisco Joseph Sequeira, a gynecologist by profession, the son of Anjelo Zeferino Sequeira who bought the land in 1886. It was then inherited by Capt. Cyril William Sequeira, one of the pioneers of aviation in India. He often flew over the house in a Tiger Moth and waved to the awestruck locals below. Some of the older generation still remembers this.

Luxury camping in these unique two-storey hybrid tent-houses known as 'touses' located off the beaten track in North Goa. Situated on the banks of the Asvem river on the shores of the Arabian sea in Mandrem,North Goa, in India, it might well be a perfect getaway to relax and recharge.

The concept of the Mandala is to provide a serene and peaceful destination in natural surroundings, where inspiration is in abundance. The emphasis is on relaxation, de-stressing and generally feeling at peace.

The word Mandala means the unity of all things within a space .Whether one chooses to participate in yoga courses, kayak down the river, relax on the veranda enjoying the view , hang in a hammock watching the eagles and kingfishers circling the lake or sampling our healthy menu in the Garden restaurant.

At the Mandela you will find a variety of Accommodation. Each room has a touch of its own.
There are two comfortable double rooms with large balconies and a private suite on the top floor of the mandala house with a panoramic view of the natural surroundings.

The chalets are double story stylish creations with the top floor resembling the houseboats of southern India.

Chalets Rooms: These Nomadic mansions are ideal for couples or families of up to four. They are a hybrid between the houseboats of Southern India and the Balinese bungalow. You can choose from 5 double storey designer chalet houses all of which are en-suite with a lake view.

They have been crafted & carved by a talented team of artists with the concept of creating a space with a low impact on nature without sacrificing any of the comforts. The master bedroom is on the first floor with an arched-dome roof and has a distinctly maharajah like feel to it. It has a large balcony overlooking a palm surrounded lake which is home to a wide variety of eagles and other exotic bird life. Downstairs is a spacious bathroom and a living room that can also be converted into an extra bedroom for those travelling with freinds or children.

Panomandala Suite: Situated on the second floor of the Main house, this is the crown of The Mandala. In amongst the leaves of the swaying coconut palms with a sea view and an uninterrupted overview of the tidal Asvem Lake, this could well be the perfect romantic hideaway.

The Suite is Light & Spacious with sliding doors opening onto a large balcony with a private bar, a cool ocean breeze and a sense of complete privacy. Raise a glass to the setting sun over the Arabian sea as the colors of the day melt into twilight....wake up to the gentle call of the kingfisher.

Double Rooms:- You will find two double en-suite bedrooms in the beautifully hand painted & designed mandala house. The artwork was done over a period of several years by acclaimed artist Ulrik schiodt from Denmark. Both the rooms have double beds, split a/c., large balconies and hot water. They are suitable for singles or couples.

This house was built by Padre Luis Gonzaga de Santana Sequeira, who lived here until the late 1950s. Father Sequeira had his own canoe, which he used to cross the creek and say mass in the Mandrem Church.

ITINERARY

There are many beautiful beaches along the coast of South Goa and Cola Beach in Canacona is an exceptional escapade! The scenic drive to this hidden location is an unforgettable experience in itself but nothing can quite prepare you for the beauty and the tranquility that awaits you. When you catch your first glimpse of the beach from above the palm trees it completely stops you in your tracks; you are looking down on paradise. As you enter the picture postcard setting you know that you have found a true heaven, a place that takes your breath away. A unique and enterprising idea has complemented this bay to perfection. A number of beautifully hand-made tents from Rajasthan have been brought to the bottom of the hillside and these offer the opportunity to stay at this lovely place for a night or a few days. If you're looking for the ultimate beach experience Cola will live up to your expectations of complete peace, relaxation and exotic beauty.

Day 01
The guests are picked up from their respective hotels by a local guide and taken to the campsite in an a/c coach. On the way the coach will stop at a restaurant in Verna for a quick 5 minute pit stop. This is for the guests to get out and stretch their legs and get a breath of fresh air, which they will get an overdose of when they reach the beach! They can also use the toilets at the restaurant.

They will reach the site by lunch time. Lunch will be served upon arrival. The tents are self contained with 2 beds, a toilet and some exquisite Rajasthani furniture. After lunch the guests are free to do whatever they want. This includes sunbathing on the quite beach, swimming in the ocean, sitting by the lagoon or just playing a game of volleyball. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be served at about 4:30pm.

Dinner will then be served at around 7:30 pm followed by the lighting of the bonfire where the guests can sit around and share a few quite moments before going back to their very spacious tents for a good night’s sleep.

Day 02
Breakfast will be served in the morning at around 7:30am. After which the guests can opt for a boat ride* to try and spot a few Dolphins and also take in the beautiful coastline. The coach will then take the guests back to their respective hotels.

•        The boat ride will be an additional expense since it’s an option open to the guests
•        The rate given will include transport, accommodation and all meals
•        Drinks will be charged separately
•        The guests are requested to carry sunscreen lotion, a few clothes, camera and not too much cash. The guests will be responsible for their own belongings.
