Mumbai - Aurangabad - Hyderabad - Chennai - Mysore - Bangalore - Mumbai
Day 01 Welcome Mumbai
Arrive in the morning and Welcome by smart presentable representative of Recreation Travel. Transfer to hotel. Mumbai - India's most cosmopolitan city, a historic port and trading center. After lunch you will tour this exciting city which includes seeing the Gateway of India, the prince of Wales Museum, marine Drive - known as the Queen's Necklace, the Hanging Gardens on top of Malabar Hill, and the Parsi Towers of Silence. Dinner at hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 02 Mumbai - Aurangabad
Today you will take a motor launch to Elephant Island to view the cave temples with Hindu sculpture and carvings dating back to the 8th Century including the outstanding eighteen-foot sculpture of Shiva representing the Hindu Trinity. Later fly to Aurangabad to visit the cave temples of Ellora and Ajanta. These remarkable Constructions rival the logistical mystery of Egypt's great pyramids. Ellora is a short drive from Aurangabad and we take the afternoon visit the temples there. The 34 caves are the result of the labors of stonecutters who removed an estimated 2,00,000 tons of rock. The evening is at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 03 Aurangabad
It took Buddhist monks more than 500 years to carve the 29 caves into a horseshoe-shaped cliff at Ajanta; today we visit this amazing masterpiece. The late afternoon and evening are free to explore Aurangabad of your own. Overnight stay.

Day 04 Aurangabad - Hyderabad
Morning visit Ellora Caves (29 kms) encompassing 34 rock cut shrines representing Buddhist, Hindu & Jain art dating from the 4th to 9th Century A.D. The most remarkable among them is the Kailash Temple, meant to be a replica of Lord Shivas celestial abode - Kailash is the best example of Rock cut architecture and an engineering marvel. In the evening transfer to station to board the train for Hyderabad . Overnight journey.

Day 05 Hyderabad
Morning arrive Hyderabad and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon tour of Hyderabad. Visit Charminar - Rectangular Four Arched Monumental Gate often described as the -The Arch of Triumph of the East, The Mecca Mosque & visit the Salar Jung Museum - one man collection of Manuscripts, ancient weapons, costumes & curios. Visit the High Court buildings. Overnight stay.

Day 06 Hyderabad
Morning visit to Golconda. Golconda Fort is situated on the Western outskirts of Hyderabad. The fort built in the 13th Century, served the kings as a Stronghold, Administrative Centre and Market Place. See the expansive Roof Gardens. Also visit the Tombs of Qutab Shahi Kings in a beautiful domed Mausoleum surrounded by Gardens. The tombs follow certain pattern with Hindu style ornamentation, while important ones have their own Mosques. Overnight stay.

Day 07 Hyderabad - Chennai
Morning transfer to airport the board the flight to Chennai (Madras). Arrive Chennai and transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour includes the Museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery (Closed on Fridays and Public holidays). Drive through the Flower and Fruit market, High court, Fort museum, Marina Beach, Santhome Cathedral and snake park. Overnight stay.

Day 08 Chennai
Full day excursion of Mahabalipuram & Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram (64 kms from Chennai (Madras)) is the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th Century and has paintings on the walls. Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks. The city of Mahabalipuramis famous for the seven pagodas. Here on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock hewn temples which are the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture. Overnight stay.


Day 09 Chennai - Mysore
Morning transfer to the station to board the train for Mysore. Arrive Mysore. Transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Mysore.

Day 10 Mysore
Full day tour of Belur and Halebid. The Chenna Kesava temple of Belur built 900 years ago is an exquisite example of Hoysala art. Halebid's 12th Century Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples are master pieces of Hindu art. On the return, visit Sravanbelgola. At Sravanbelgola, hewn out of a single rock and visible from a distance of 25 kms is the statue of Lord Gomteshwara which is bathed with milk and honey once every 12 years. Overnight saty at Mysore

Morning tour of Mysore. Visit the palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-1912. The palace is of harmonious syntheses of the Hindu and saracenic styles of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures which are magnificent. Visit the Art Gallery; drive up to Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari Temple & a panoramic view of Mysore. On the way back, see the Nandi Bull. Afternoon is free. Overnight stay at Mysore.

Day 11 Mysore
Morning tour of Mysore. Visit the palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-1912. The palace is of harmonious syntheses of the Hindu and saracenic styles of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures which are magnificent. Visit the Art Gallery; drive up to Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari Temple & a panoramic view of Mysore. On the way back, see the Nandi Bull. Afternoon is free. Overnight stay at Mysore.

Day 12 Mysore- Bangalore
Drive to Bangalore. Day at leisure for exploring this "Garden City". You could visit the Lal Bagh with a variety of old trees, fountains, lotus pools, terraces & an assortment of tropical and sub-tropical herbs. Also see the Maharaja's Palace and Government Buildings. Overnight stay at Bangalore.

Day 13 Bangalore - Mumbai
Transfer to airport for Mumbai (Bombay) flight. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free. In the evening transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination.
