| Day 01 Chennai |
Arrive Chennai. Check in at hotel. Afternoon city sightseeing tour
includes National Art Gallery, Museum, the Cathedral of San Thome, the
Mylapore Temple and St Mary's Church. Overnight stay.
Depart for Cochin by flight. Sightseeing includes Jewish synagogue
which contains beautiful Belgian glass chandeliers and is paved with hand
painted tiles from China. Visit the Dutch Palace with its wonderful murals
depicting the entire story of the Ramayana on its walls. See St. Francis
Church- the first European church built in India. In the afternoon visit the
Backwaters of Cochin visiting the Bolghatty Palace the beautiful
dutch colonial mansion. We will pass islands with their traditional fishing
hamlets and the fisher flock in their colorful costumes. Overnight stay.

Depart for Coimbatore by Air. Afternoon city sightseeing tour.

of Mysore, which is lavishly decorated in a mixture of styles. Also visit

Depart for Mysore by car. Enroute visit shirangapatnam-the 18th
century Summer palace of Tipu Sultan. Overnight stay.

Depart for Bangalore by road, From here one can visit the Cubbon
Park with fountains, Statues and flowering trees. Close to the park is the
Bal Bhavan and the Aquarium. The Lalbagh- the Glass House inspired by the
Crystal Palace in London is the venue for the bi- annual flower shows, Bull
Temple- the oldest temple, Tipu Sultan's Palace- two storeyed ornate wooden
structure with pillars, arches and balconies, Ulsoor Lake- is a perfect
gateway dotted with a picturesque island. Overnight stay.

Early morning depart for Hospet. Afternoon visit the Tungabhadra
Dam here harnesses the sweet waters of the Tungabhadra river. At the base of
the dam is a garden, styled along Japanese lines. Overnight stay.

Depart for Hampi. Hampi known as Vijayanagar. Places to visit are
Queens Bath, Vijaya Bhavan, Stone Trough, Hazararama Temple, Zenana
Enclosure, Elephants Stables, Pattabirama Temple, Narasimha Image etc.

Drive to Badami. Badami formerly known as Vatapi, Badami was the
second Capital of the Chalukyas, founded by Pulakesin I, around 550 A.D. It
is noted for several temples of an early period. Some of these are
structural and the others rock cut. There are four rock cut caves or temples
of rare sculptural excellence. Of the structural temples at Badami the
Mahakuteswara and Naganath Shivalaya are worth visiting. Also visit the four
Badami Caves, Badami Forts, Banashankari Temple, Mahakut, Shivyoga Temple
etc. Overnight stay.
Depart for Bijapur. City Sights includes Gol Gumbaz,
Malik-e-Maaidan, Bara Kamman, Ibrahim Roza.Overnight Stay.

Depart for Goa. Situated on India's Western Coast- a land of palm
groves, waterways and fine beaches. Visit some of its lovely beaches and
then drive to old Goa where we see beautiful old churches in lush tropical,
setting. Overnight stay.
Today visit St. Francis Xavier, one of the most important sites of
Goa, the Aguada Fort, Archaeological Museum, Portrail Gallery & Wildlife
Sanctuaries. Relax on Beach. Overnight stay.
In the morning take a flight to Mumbai where onward destination
starts.
