The Jewel of the Lakshadweep, Bangaram Island is an uninhabited haven. Barring the occasional visitor from nearby Agatti (where the airport is situated), the only residents are the resort staff. Bangaram presents a breathtaking spectacle of sparkling coral reefs, turquoise blue lagoons, silvery beaches and lush green coconut palms. All preserved in the state little different from the days of Charam Perumal's reign. It is commonly believed that the islands were discovered by ship wrecked sailors during the reign of Charms Perumal, a legendary King of Kerala, around 435 AD. Today, the population of Lakshadweep is around 50,000, spread over ten islands.

The resort offers you a variety of outdoor pursuits - scuba diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, kayaking and so on. Diving courses and lagoon diving are offered for beginners. Diving is permitted only within safe depths around 30 meters.

- Cochin is the nearest International airport.
- There's a regular flight from Cochin to Agatti Island. From Agatti to Bangaram, you need to go by boat. (Or by helicopter during the monsoons, when the seas tend to get choppy -16th May to 13th September.)

Lakshadweep has a tropical climate, with summer (Apr & May) temperatures ranging from 35 degrees centigrade to 22 degrees centigrade and winter (Oct.–Mar)- temperature between 32 degrees centigrade to 20 degrees centigrade.
Clothes:
Tropical clothes throughout the year are sufficient. A waterproof coat during October-November will be useful.
