Day 01 Arrive Delhi
Welcome by presentable representative of Recreation Travels with Special welcome & Transfer to hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 02 Amazing Delhi
After Breakfast Proceed to the Old Delhi tour was an ancient walled city. Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in 1650 switched the Mughal capital from Agra to Delhi. Here you will see Red Fort, the most opulent Fort and Palace of the Mughal Empire. The fort is Shah Jehan's symbol of power and elegance, built behind red sandstone walls. Also visit Raj Ghat, the memorial site of the Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India;
New Delhi was designed and built by the British in the 1920's-it's a city of wide boulevards impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. In 1911 King George V announced the transfer of the capital from Calcutta to Delhi. Your drive takes you along the ceremonial avenue, past the imposing India Gate and Parliament House & President House. You will visit the monuments Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Overnight stay.
Day 03 Delhi Neemrana 122 kms
After breakfast drive to Neemrana - Built since 1464 AD, Neemrana Fort-Palace is among India's oldest heritage resorts. Neemrana became the third capital of the descendants of Prithviraj Chauhan III, who was killed in battle by Mohammad Ghori in 1192 AD. This picturesque site was chosen by Raja Rajdeo and Neemrana derived its name from a brave local chieftain Nimola Meo, who when defeated by the Chauhan, pleaded that his name be given to his lost kingdom. Sited on a majestic plateau, concealed in a horseshoe formation of the billion year old Aravallis ranges. Overnight stay.
Day 04 Neemrana Samode Village 185 kms
After breakfast drive to Samode - built in stages starting 400 years ago, the Palace was converted in to a Heritage Hotel by the Samode Family. The Ornate interiors are a fine example of the Rajput-Mughal Haveli Architecture. Samode, ancient royal retreat, notable for its Wall Paintings and Glass work in the Grand Durbar Hall. Day 05 Samode Village Dundlod 220 kms
After breakfast drive to Dundlod a tiny town against picturesque surroundings offers an interesting stop over. It has a rugged fort and a palace now run as a heritage hotel. Havelis of the Goenka family ornate with fine frescoes are a visual delight.
Fort (Kila) of Dundlod the 17th century Rajputana Fort studded with monumental nostalgia of Shekawatis, the warrior Rajputs who with stood the onslaught of Mughal hordes. Since then the cultural heritage of splendid Rajasthan is preserved as its ethos are imbibed in architectural grandeur of the Dundlod Fort. The silent ripples of the golden sand dunes, which besiege the Kila lures, and enchants tourists and villagers as well. On every dawn the first ray of the sun befalls over the fort as an eternal bliss to the land of mystique and charisma. Overnight stay.
Day 06 Dundlod Khimsar 296 kms
After breakfast drive to Khimsar perched on the edge of the Great Thar Desert in the heart of rural India. It offers a wide range of experiences. The battle-scarred walls and turrets remind you of its glorious past as a center of much warfare, as well as commerce and trade. The initial construction began in 1523, but the family moved in during the 18th century when a new zanana (ladies wing) was constructed. Thakur Onkar Singh built a regal wing for himself in the 1940s. Today, the Khimsar Fort ranks high among the premier classified heritage hotels of India. Overnight stay.
Day 07 Khimsar Jodhpur 90 kms
Morning drive to Jodhpur. Jodhpur the Great Indian Desert, sites on sand stone hill surrounded by a strong wall, approximately 6 miles long with 7 entry gates. Upon arrival check in hotel. Half day sightseeing of the city includes visit to Meherangarh Fort, drive through the old city and past the Clock Tower near the largest spice bazaar in the sub-continent, visit the Jaswant Thada Cenotaph, the royal cremation site and then proceed to see the most magnificent, modern 20th century Palace, the Umaid Bhavan Palace and its museum a treasure trove.
Bishnoi Village Safari (By Jeep)- A memorable outing in Jeeps visit various traditional villages seeing local handicrafts viz. stone makers, pottery, hand weaving and also men in their traditional attire, women clad with ancestral silver jewellery, etc. Overnight stay.
Day 08 Jodhpur Sardarsamand 60 kms
Morning drive to Sardarsamand - a hunting lodge built by H.H. Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1933, is replete with impressive art deco architecture. All the original features have been retained and expansive grounds and gardens of hotel Sardar Samand Palace offer delightful walks. Overlooking the large lake teeming with birdlife, the lake resort affords one of the most breathtakingly beautiful views of Lake Sardar Samand. An ideal place to unwind.
Day 09 Sardarsamand Udaipur 215 kms
After breakfast leave for Udaipur. Enroute visit to Ranakpur temples of the Jains, built in the 15th century in the lovely valley of Aravallis. It has grand structure & beautiful Sculptures. The 1444 pillars in the temple are different from each other. The magic of light & shade is really awe- inspiring. Later proceed to Udaipur. Upon arrival check in Hotel. Afternoon is free to explore colorful Bazar & Shopping. Over night stay.
Day 10 Udaipur
Today sight seeing of Udaipur includes The City Palace, drive around Fateh Sagar lake, Sahelion-ki-Bari (The fountain and flowered garden of Maidens), Partap Smarak: A memorial to the legendary warrior Rana Pratap, Bhartiya Lok Mandal Museum. Remainder of the day is at leisure. Evening Boat Cruise at Lake Pichola. Overnight stay.
Day 11 Udaipur - Dungarpur 120 kms
After breakfast drive to Dungarpur the diversity of nature unfolds in this hill town situated at the foothills of the Aravalis. Dungarpur was founded in 1282 A. D. by Rawal Veer Singh. The region offers varied flora and fauna and an interesting topography, ranging from wild and rugged terrain in the North-East to fertile alluvial plains in the South-West. Complementing the scenic landscapes are the magnificent rivers-Mahi and Som. While the former separates the district from banswara, the latter draws a natural boundary between the district and Udaipur. The town is a visual delight during monsoons.
Besides its rich natural wealth, Dungarpur boasts of a unique style of architecture as seen in the old palaces and noble residences. Also famous are lacquer painted toys and picture frames. Late visit to Udai Bilas Palace, Juna Mahal, Gaib Sagar Lake, Banswara and Galiyakot. Overnight stay.
Day 12 Dungarpur Bijaipur
After breakfast drive to Bijaipur. Arrive Bijaipur and check in hotel. Visit to Castle Bijaipur are the descendents of the great Rajput warrior, Shakti Singh. He was younger brother of the great Maharana Pratap Singh, a ruler of Mewar (Udaipur Region). The Castle built in 16th century. The Castle reflects a life style of Mewar with matching cuisine. The castle has had the privilege of playing host to thousands of tourists over the last one decade.
The village Bijaipur is surrounded by green hills and the castle is situated in middle of village. The village is on the way to Bundi Kota Road, 40 kms away from Chittaurgarh. Overnight stay.
Day 13 Bijaipur Deogarh
After breakfast drive to Deogarh After breakfast drive to Deogarh a castle of medieval Rajasthan, the Deogarh Mahal has been witness to history unfolding within and beyond its realms. Built in 1670 A.D by Rawat Dwarka Dasji as a family residence, it soon became the hub of village activity. The family interacted with the villagers and invited a host of feasts and festivities to be performed within the Mahal precincts. Some of these traditions are still upheld. a castle of medieval Rajasthan, the Deogarh Mahal has been witness to history unfolding within and beyond its realms. Built in 1670 A.D by Rawat Dwarka Dasji as a family residence, it soon became the hub of village activity. The family interacted with the villagers and invited a host of feasts and festivities to be performed within the Mahal precincts. Some of these traditions are still upheld.
The Mahal stands at a height of 2100 ft above sea level and is cooler than surrounding Rajasthan. With its bold battlements, domed turrets and balconies the Mahal towers over the town below. The imposing gateways once closed to ward off enemies, are now thrown open by the family in a gesture of welcome.
The various terraces and balconies offer a commanding view of the surrounding Aravalis Mountain and its rugged rock-strewn countryside dotted by a number of lakes. These lakes play host to vast variety of migratory birds.
The restoration has been carried out bearing in mind the blending of architectural style with interior dιcor thereby assigning to each room its unique vintage. The idea is to offer the weary traveler the comforts of today ensconced in the ambience of the past. Overnight stay.
Day 14 Deogarh Jaipur 280 kms
After early breakfast countryside drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival check in Hotel.
Afternoon visit to Maharajas City Palace - where you can see an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Art. The museum is resplendent with its collection of robes of royal princes, carpets, an armory of old weapons, miniature paintings portraying court scenes, battle scenes and processions, Jantar Mantar (an accurate observatory built in 1726 A.D.), Birla White Marble temple and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - a five storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires. Day 15 Jaipur- Agra 232 kms
This mornings exciting tour takes us outside Jaipur to the Amber Palace, former capital of Rajput kingdom. Perched on a hillside in the desert, the grandeur of the palace and its fort recall the glory of an older age. We step back in time ourselves as we are transported up the hill to the palace on brightly caparisoned elephants Inside we find lavish courtyards beautifully decorated halls, and a lovely Chamber of Mirrors.
Later drive to Agra via the Ghostly deserted red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri, built in 1569 by the Great Emperor Akbar. Today it is deserted & left in solitude to reminisce over its past glory. On todays drive through the Rajasthani countryside we see villages, woman dressed in the brilliantly colored saris of the region, Camels, Elephants & scenes of rural lives. Day 16 Mughal City Agra
Morning visit to the Taj Mahal A Structure that is beautiful not just a Design & Technique, but also in desire & intent. When his Wife died unexpectedly, Emperor Shah Jahan vowed to honor her with a memorial of unmatched beauty. The result before you today: a massive, delicately carved White Marble Jewel floating on a sea of Red Limestone. The Agra Fort is also on todays tour & we see the fabulous Courtyards, Fountains, and Gates of this Hilltop citadel. Dont miss the across the River view of the Taj Mahal from a little octagonal tower in the Fort. Also visit the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah and Agra Fort. As you drive through the city witness the local life and bazaars (markets) and the hustle bustle of everyday India. Overnight stay
